Kwazulu-Natal at a glance
The KwaZulu-Natal province stretches along the warm Indian Ocean from Port Edward in the south to Swaziland and Mozambique in the north. This province is a favourite domestic holiday destination, attracting many international and local visitors.
The province features one of South Africa’s most magnificent mountain ranges, the Drakensberg, which is located in the uKhahlamba-Drakensberg Park, a World Heritage Site. Thanks to a subtropical climate on the coast and an abundance of beaches and natural beauty, there is no shortage of entertainment and activities in the province, including beaches, rock climbing, horse riding, swimming, snorkelling, scuba diving, fishing, whale watching; music and art sites.
KwaZulu-Natal’s main airport is the King Shaka International Airport, located about 30km north of the province’s largest city Durban.
